-Identify the gap between the current state of the issue and the goal.
-Problem statements should be able to help readers to understand the problem better.
Research question
-It has to be answerable and steady.
-First active step in the research project.
Research objective
-What we expect to accomplish in a project.
Hypothesis
-A tentative statement between two or more variables.
-A testable prediction.
-Expected gains during the course of research.
Variables
-Something that can be changed or varied.
Critical Review_Lecture A
What is a critical review?
-Much more than a summary.
-analyze
-evaluation
Summary / Description:
-The topic or the main question that proposes to answer.

Conclusion
-Summarize
-Restate your write-up

FEEDBACK
Week 2 (15/04/2023)
-Requires a topic with a clear problem statement.
Week 3 (20/04/2023)
-Some citations are missing.
-Clarify on research topic and problem.
-The research questions are too general.
-The research objectives are leaning toward environmental issues.
-Make sure to relate it to my specialization.
-Rational has to be done.
Week 4 (27/04/2023)
-Keywords are not necessary for submission.
-The research problem and research object should be more specific and related to Graphic Design.
-Follow the structure flow on the instruction.
-Since it's undergraduate research, there's no need of finding solutions.
Week 5 (04/05/2023)
Public Holiday
Week 6 (11/05/2023)
-There’s no need to add the initial of the author’s full name when stating the article in a sentence.
-For the reference list, the name of the author has to include the initials of the full name.
-Shorten the summary.
Week 7 (18/05/2023)
-The summary is still too long.
-Find more updated papers.
-Doesn’t have to create separate documents for each article as long as they are under the same topic.
Week 9 (01/06/2023)
-further explanation on the method of survey.
-clarify the depth of experience
-Research articles to support the preferred age range.
-find 2 brands for packaging with high visual interaction & another 2 that have poor visual interaction.
-3 to 4 questions per brand.
-questions are better to be open-ended & close-ended.
Week 10 (08/06/2023)
-Participants have to be reconsidered.
-Justification needs to be completed.
-Focusing on the packaging, not the brands.
-need to find other examples. If the brand itself is “sustainable”, it is not suitable for my topic.
-3 good examples and 3 bad examples.
Week 11 (15/06/2023)
-Ask the same questions for all products.
-Introduce my name and elaborate on the use of responses.
Week 12 (22/06/2023)
-The research problem, research question and research objective can be used as an introduction.
-The title can have higher saturation.
-The research question and research objective can be presented together.
-Be careful about using too much of extra slides.
-Replace the images with white backgrounds.
-Add some visual elements.
Proposal:
-The problem statement could be more elaborated in explaining more about the approach of this research.
-The research question and the research objective are relevant to the research problem.
Critical Review:
-Coelho et al. (2020) and Otto et al. (2021) haven't been critiqued enough.
-Need to identify a common topic of them.
-The reference lists have to be arranged in alphabetical order.
Week 13 (29/06/2023)
Public Holiday
Week 14 (06/07/2023)
-Change "Research Introduction" to "Introduction"
-Put the name of the literature as the heading
-The authors’ names in front of the bibliography
-Show the percentage of the answers
-Present the number of participants
REFLECTION
Experience Throughout the past 14 weeks, my assignments included composing proposals, conducting critical reviews, collecting and analyzing data, and ultimately compiling them into a research paper. Given that this was my initial experience with academic research paper writing, each phase of these projects consumed a significant amount of time. However, personally, the critical review and data collection stages demanded the greatest investment of time and effort.
Observation
Expressing my research ideas clearly in writing proved to be quite challenging. Additionally, finding and incorporating relevant scholarly articles to support my research problem was difficult. Furthermore, I realized that I need more practice in summarizing and analyzing information, as I struggled to extract the most important aspects in the phase of critical reviews and data analysis.
Findings
This module has greatly helped me in developing my thinking skills and academic writing abilities. Moreover, it has provided me with a profound understanding of the subject area that has always captivated my interest.
Moreover, throughout the entire duration of my work, I was able to enhance my time management skills. It was due to the fact that each assignment I received required a significant amount of time and consistent revisions before reaching its final form.
Furthermore, while creating questions and collecting responses during the stages of data collection and analysis, I discovered that acquiring the ability to think from different perspectives and communicate effectively with a wide range of people is not an easy task. Nevertheless, I learned that these qualities are among the most essential attributes of a designer.
